Welcome

A place to feel heard and find your way.

If you need someone who can listen with compassion and walk beside you as you uncover your wisdom, I'm here to help.

A Path of Self-Discovery and Inner Kindness

My name is Greg White, and I am a counselling practicum student with the Orca Institute. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and rooted in attunement, so that you feel seen and heard in the process. In our work together, I will support you in softening anxiety, developing confidence, recovering from past wounds, and tending gently to what feels most difficult or important.

In my counselling sessions, I focus on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for healing and growth. I often draw on parts work to help clients explore the many aspects of their inner world, opening space for self-understanding, integration, and new possibilities. Valuing the wholeness of each person's story, I honour the unique strengths and lived experience that makes us who we are. I am also influenced by contemplative practices that invite presence and curiosity into the work we do together.

I live in Nelson, BC with my husband and our dog, Bodhi. Besides counselling, I find joy in reading, spending time in nature, and painting with watercolours.

Common Questions

What can I expect in a therapy session?

My aim is to create a space where you can discuss the issues that are relevant to your life. â€‹During our time together, you'll be met with empathy, respect, and non-judgment. You can expect that I will listen attentively, â€‹honour your feelings, and work collaboratively with you to explore change that is meaningful to you.

What is it like to work with a student counsellor?

As a counselling student, I am currently in the process of completing my 200 hour practicum under the supervision of experienced, fully qualified counsellor. This means that while I bring curiosity and current understandings from the counselling field, I also have a safety net of guidance and oversight to support our work together.
